No roadmaps. Just one <strong>aim<\/strong> &#8211; the very <em>first 100% decentralized operating system<\/em> with both best possible user experience and security (..)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>In the meantime, since the early 2017, a multitude of sub-projects\u00a0were brought into life, including, but not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research regarding incentivized data exchange. That&#8217;s extremely important for <strong>humanity\ud83c\udf0e\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Since,<\/strong> we are<em><strong> so much<\/strong><\/em> in need of truly decentralized data exchange and storage. Nodes shall be incentivized through cryptocurrency in a fully decentralized manner as well. Recent research paper published by <em><strong>Future Generation Computer System (Elsevier)<\/strong><\/em> available right <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S0167739X18307520\">here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Research regarding employment of decentralized state-machines in power industry &#8211;\u00a0we were the first to come up with the first, fully decentralized architecture for the power industry, with research results published at one of the most prestigious conferences in the world. The research paper itself is available right <a href=\"https:\/\/ieeexplore.ieee.org\/abstract\/document\/8340700\">here<\/a>\u00a0(<em><strong>IEEE<\/strong><\/em>).<\/li>\n<li>a new programming language <em><strong>#GridScript<\/strong><\/em> to empower <strong>UI dApps<\/strong> and what people used to call &#8216;<em><strong>Smart Contracts&#8217;<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>a new, user friendly approach to <b>Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs).\u00a0<\/b>Why NFTs are so &#8216;special&#8217; in the realm of Ethereum? That&#8217;s because Ethereum was never designed to cope with such a concept. <em><strong>Meaning?<\/strong> <\/em>There&#8217;s no concept of a file in Ethereum. <strong>Yeah, really.<\/strong> No concept file permissions either. Let alone file-ownership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0In \u00a0<strong>\u22ee\u22ee\u22ee GRIDNET<\/strong><strong>\u00a0OS\u00a0<\/strong>, on the other hand,\u00a0\u00a0<strong>one\u00a0<\/strong>may execute Linux-compatible commands such as SETFACL and CHOWN, to set ownership of any file,<em><strong> with ease.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Then, going further<em> (..) oh blesses be the paths of decentralization!<strong>\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f<\/strong>\u00a0 (..)<\/em> there are special utilities created to accommodate\u00a0NFT-community such as SETMETA and GETMETA, which associate meta-data, including<strong> 1-to-1 Legal attributes<\/strong> with any file. One may SSH over to <strong>test.gridnet.org<\/strong> and see man-pages of these commands and test these through for oneself. There&#8217;s a separate, dedicated article regarding these functionalities on its way In short, the concepts which are cumbersome to execute on other platforms, here these will feel very natural. You will have galleries and museums implemented as actual folders within the decentralized operating system. And then.. VR-enabled UI applications taking use of these running within of a web-browser. It all simply works within\u00a0a web-browser.. <strong>All without any kind of crowd-funding ever\u00a0 having taken place.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Great.<\/strong>\u00a0Looks crazy HOT\ud83d\udd25\u00a0&#8220;B<em>ut Hey<\/em>!&#8221;..\u00a0\u00a0(there&#8217;s always a &#8216;<em><strong>but<\/strong><\/em>&#8216; , and there&#8217;s always a <strong>&#8216;hey<\/strong>&#8216;, is there not ).<\/p>\n<p>How about the..\u00a0<strong>Basics\u00a0<\/strong>? And indeed that&#8217;s the very point! <\/em>\u00a0Now, lets get down to\u00a0<strong>Basics.<\/strong>\u00a0Every respectful project commits a &#8216;<strong>Whitepaper<\/strong>&#8216;\u00a0 \u00a0with dozens (or way more) pages filled with &#8216;<strong>tokonomics<\/strong>&#8216;, photos of money hungry ex-<em><strong>CEOs <\/strong><\/em>(watch out they as <em><strong>they<\/strong> <\/em>may want to eat you <em><strong>alive<\/strong><\/em>) and promises\u00a0of taking you to the Moon\ud83c\udf1a (<em>she&#8217;s looking Good.. no.. she&#8217;s looking HOT\ud83d\udd25<\/em>), a project collects money and then&#8230; we all know how it usually goes.. down the road.<\/p>\n<p><em>As you probably do well know<\/em>,\u00a0<em>we have been after\u00a0<\/em>after technology.<\/p>\n<p>(..)\u00a0ground-breaking new <em>ideas <\/em>(..) new <em>possibilities<\/em> (..) \u00a0<em>passion<\/em> for things. With everything designed from the ground up, with their creations so high one can barely see a roof-top.. or can he not?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1336 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/gridnet.org\/wpp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/wizards-Logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"518\" height=\"583\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>(..) <em>Wizards<\/em>\ud83e\uddd9\ud83e\uddd9\u200d\u2640\ufe0f (..) they come from the lands of bits and bytes the <em>0s<\/em> and <em>1s<\/em> (..)<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;(..) <strong>Right<\/strong>. Seemingly, they are not so much about &#8216;numbers&#8217;, are they ? as none have been published so far(..)\u00a0\ud83e\udd14<\/p>\n<p>Up Until <strong>Today<\/strong>!\ud83d\ude0a (..) as like it or not.. Tokonomics are very important <strong><em>indeed<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Tech aside,\u00a0economy is\u00a0\u00a0the kind of a thing which allows for your own personal wallet to <strong>grow<\/strong>, by collecting returns from your investments (time or money).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Yet, for this,<\/strong> when it comes to a &#8220;cryptocurrency-project&#8221; three things need to hold <strong>true<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The project needs to be &#8216;good enough&#8217; (now, that&#8217;s certainly obvious in case of <strong>\u22ee\u22ee\u22ee GRIDNET\u00a0<\/strong>OS, isn&#8217;t it?)<\/li>\n<li>You would need to invest into it (now if you&#8217;ve got good prospects about the returns.. then it&#8217;s called an <strong>Opportunity)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Tokenomics<\/strong>\ud83d\udcb0 need to be rational and uphold technical aspirations of the\u00a0project.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>As for whether <strong>\u22ee\u22ee\u22ee GRIDNET\u00a0<\/strong>OS is a &#8216;good project&#8217;,- you already know it. Some would prefer to stick with Ethereum or maybe even Bitcoin and that&#8217;s the beauty of free-will<strong>\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f<\/strong>\u00a0We won&#8217;t be getting much into point 2) either, at least over here, as there&#8217;s to be a separate announcement and invitation in regards the upcoming fundraising campaign. Here we are about point 3 solely.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\">Now, grab a cup of coffee, if you haven\u2019t already (if you haven\u2019t and are still reading this then it must be a <strong>Good Project<\/strong>, indeed!) or imagine scents from the Old Wizard\ud83e\uddd9\u2019s cyber smoke pipe coming up your way..<\/p>\n<h3>Monetary Policies<\/h3>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\">Monetary policies and accounting, together with <strong>technology,\u00a0<\/strong>are what allowed modern civilizations to <strong>blossom.<\/strong> Systems such as these arose independently in China, Egypt and Mesoamerica, with the oldest records stemming back from ancient Sumerian civilization in modern-day Iraq. <em><strong>Rejoice!<\/strong> <\/em>As we\u2019ve found a tablet\u00a0that recorded a transaction of.. five goats.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1364\" style=\"width: 468px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1364\" class=\" wp-image-1364\" src=\"https:\/\/gridnet.org\/wpp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/96089645_hi039302263.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"458\" height=\"587\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1364\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">This tablet has an account in Sumerian cuneiform describing the receipt of oxen<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Now, we use paper no more, we prefer decentralized state-machines or &#8216;blockchains&#8217;.\u00a0 Sure! While some of us have already\u00a0<strong>Moved On <\/strong>(oh blessed be thee, believers in the\u00a0<em><strong>Wizardous<\/strong> <\/em>Holy Tome!)<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>.. some are\u00a0still stuck in the paper era or even worse, the era of centralized governments.<\/p>\n<p>Going back to <strong>Tokenomics<\/strong>. Investors look at these data and <em>decide<\/em>\u00a0.. &#8220;is my money worth it? (..) or.. am I too loose (..)&#8221; ..dozens of <em><strong>visions <\/strong><\/em>spinning\u00a0through each and every\u00a0<em><strong>Inventor<\/strong><\/em>&#8216;s head. As\u00a0each and every <em><strong>investor <\/strong><\/em>is after finding the <strong><em>Love of His Life<\/em><\/strong>\u2764\ufe0f<\/p>\n<p>(..) <strong>relax!<\/strong> No obligations needed.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2>Are you looking at <strong>The Next New\u00a0Thing<\/strong>? <strong>You definitely, surely are!<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While a project might be a crazy cool geek&#8217;s toy, if <strong>tokonomics <\/strong>are broken, &#8211; nobody would invest. Which means either a slowly or rapidly dying project and before you know it.. <em>the moment is gone<\/em>\ud83c\udfb5<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>(..) \ud83c\udfb5 and we certainly <em><strong>do not\u00a0 <\/strong><\/em>want <em><strong>our moment<\/strong><\/em> to be gone, do we?\ud83c\udfb5<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>On the other hand, while <strong>Tokenomics <\/strong>might be <em>seemingly<\/em> Great or at least rational according to some fundamental analysis (say a low capped project) , &#8211; how about the\u00a0<strong>usability<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p>Have <strong>you<\/strong> taken the entire picture into account?<\/p>\n<p>See, crypto-realm is no more (solely) about crypto-payments. In <strong>\u22ee\u22ee\u22ee GRIDNET\u00a0<\/strong><strong>OS<\/strong>\u00a0it&#8217;s like 0.001% of the functionality set introduced on day-1.<\/p>\n<p>See, a project might had promised you a decentralized computer.<\/p>\n<p>Folks behind it might have said that it would reward for data exchange.. but see,-\u00a0its <strong>Tokenomics <\/strong>turned out to be\u00a0&#8216;low-capped&#8217;. If the project ever gained popularity in the first place, its system intrinsic crypto-asset would be way too expensive for a normal daily use, not to mention rewarding peers for data exchange on a per-byte basis.<\/p>\n<p>Here, one may recall IOTA&#8217;s (<strong>I<\/strong>rresponsible <strong>O<\/strong>nes <strong>T<\/strong>ake <strong>A<\/strong>dvantage, let us never forget!)\u00a0enormously huge supply politics. If they ever got anything right, it surely was understanding that for rewarding such miniscule tasks as data-retransmissions,- a large monetary supply with high-precision denomination was needed. Anyhow, let IOTA R.I.P<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wait, a sec..<\/strong> so the project at hand is not only about cryptocurrency, but about many.. no.. wait a sec.. a zillion of other things?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><strong>Relax<\/strong><\/em>.. feel the <em><strong>Wizardous<\/strong> <\/em>scents coming up your way.. we&#8217;re talking about true.. decentralized operating system experience.. where literally anything could happen. Like back in the Windows 3.11 time when all of the sudden a guy named Bill, came up with the idea of drawing windows on his screen (..)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Wait. hold on a sec(..)okay! Under the assumption they can really pull it off (..) who&#8217;s covering the development costs?\u00a0 Should we put our faiths entirely in DAO-based assets&#8217; assignment and voting? Is the project to be developed and <em><strong>maintained<\/strong> <\/em>for next 1.. 2 years? or maybe 200+ years? In any case, we need to cover the costs and assure progress.<\/p>\n<p>We need to afford best developers money can buy. We are about true <em><strong>Wizards<\/strong><\/em>\ud83e\uddd9\ud83e\uddd9\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\u00a0We&#8217;ve been after and offered nothing less since the early 2017 on our YouTube LIVE-streams.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0Wizards\ud83e\uddd9\ud83e\uddd9\u200d\u2640\ufe0f (..)\u00a0armed with guns of computer science and cryptography no mercy for centralization have they got .<\/h2>\n<p>Let us settle our thoughts and think about two main pillars of the current crypto realm.<\/p>\n<p>As you might be already well aware of, there have been two camps, for the most of it, each with their own <em><strong>Truths<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bitcoin Camp &#8211;<\/strong>\u00a0these fellas, they cherish what they&#8217;ve got and we all know &#8211; they haven&#8217;t got much. Bitcoin can send and receive assets and that&#8217;s about it. What they&#8217;ve surely got are clear supply rules. Deflationary monetary economy. Beauty lies in simplicity. There&#8217;s no arguing about that. But what about a sexy, smart women? She&#8217;s not that simple (lots of atoms) even still,- you want her (so bad)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ethereum Camp &#8211;<\/strong>\u00a0that was supposed to be the world-wide decentralized computer everyone was waiting for. Deflationary money policy.<b> No hard-caps. Truth is no one\u00a0knows its economy and surely no one\u00a0knows what its economy is going to be tomorrow. It all depends on how Vitalik sees fits.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That only demonstrates the power of <strong>technology<\/strong>. As long as everything works. Everything is <strong>FINE<\/strong>. As long as expectations are fulfilled, people do not care about the details. They do not care whether Ethereum&#8217;s monetary decisions are centralized or not. It works? It&#8217;s fine. There&#8217;s a scent of decentralisation in the mix and then it&#8217;s all good. It&#8217;s good enough. That\u2019s until people get some sort of wakeup call.<\/p>\n<p>What we need to learn from it; is that peoples&#8217; hunger for more than what Bitcoin is &#8211; allowed Ethereum to flourish into the biggest cryptocurrency project right next to it. Ethereum is way more than Bitcoin. It has an enormous problem though. What is it? Its technology is rooted back in the days when Bitcoin was conceived. Ethereum fellas learned from Bitocin, they did an amazing job; but still they haven&#8217;t departed far enough to withstand the glory of <strong>\u22ee\u22ee\u22ee GRIDNET\u00a0<\/strong>OS, did they? The possibilities it allows for.<\/p>\n<p>Let us get back to <strong>Tokenomics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 [&quot;blockquote&quot;,null]\">(..) It turns out there\u2019s no point to having a hard-capped monetary policy (..) a hard-capped monetary policy may be both risky and dangerous if the\u00a0Project is supposed to support worldwide system at both macro and micro scales (..)\u00a0What the Tokenomics (or any other monetary policy)\u00a0<em><strong>need to <\/strong><\/em>assure, though, are <em>stability<\/em> and <em>predictability<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Otherwise people wouldn&#8217;t know what they could afford the next day and planning wouldn&#8217;t be feasible.<\/p>\n<p>To cite\u00a0Ben Edgington\u00a0for <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/38271\/so-what-is-the-ethereum-eth-total-supply?fbclid=IwAR2PntAQS5xT0D8Sje4Oj0jLjVG6r2zx3mmFPl84kk5E1VrGcLC1xMxa_Yg\">Decrypt<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Bitcoiners are obsessed with this. The defining property of their blockchain is that it has fixed issuance\u2014this is their thing. For them, it&#8217;s all about money supply. In Ethereum it\u2019s all about getting stuff done.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\">In <strong>\u22ee\u22ee\u22ee GRIDNET,\u00a0<\/strong>it\u2019s about getting stuff done as well. Recall that at the same time Ethereum doesn&#8217;t even support single point 32-bit based floating point arithmetic&#8217;s).<\/p>\n<p>The changes that we&#8217;ve made also allowed for extremely high-fidelity Tokenomics. The rest of the total supply goes to investors (i.e. worth at least 0 , literally zero USD).<\/p>\n<h3>As time goes by<\/h3>\n<p>Every 10 minutes a &#8216;key-block&#8217; is released giving a reward of\u00a0360\u00a0<strong>GNC<\/strong> to a successful \u2018miner\u2019. We won&#8217;t be getting much into the consensus protocol over here, let it suffice to say that we&#8217;re dealing with a variation of Bitcoin NG&#8217;s protocol where rewards are shared across consecutive miners and the frequency of data-blocks (those containing the actual &#8216;transactions&#8217;) is uncapped at all. The system employs additional cryptocurrency ERG, which is to offset for variation in the price of GNC, and is to be used to describe transaction fees (similarly to Ethereum&#8217;s &#8216;gas&#8217;).<\/p>\n<p>Quick calculations show us that, that results in issuance of\u00a019000000 each year, resulting in a maximum inflation cap of 2%. That is, if we arrive at the Best-Case scenario in terms of the fundraising campaign. The effective inflation rate can then further be lowered through taxes set and managed\u00a0through\u00a0<strong>DAO<\/strong>. The \u2018Overwatch\u2019 functionality is to be disabled as soon as Network transitions into a <strong>Live-Net<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone is to be able to spawn a new <strong>\u22ee\u22ee\u22ee GRIDNET\u00a0Core<\/strong>\u00a0node and earn cryptocurrency, which would also have permanent effect,- yet again, once network Transitions into a <strong>Live-Net<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>In other words, <\/strong><\/em>once <em><strong>Test-Net<\/strong><\/em> transitions into a <strong>Live-Net<\/strong> all <strong>Identity Tokens<\/strong> and accounts\u2019 balances would be imported into <strong>Live-Net<\/strong> by means of a Genesis Block, i.e. stored within the Genesis block to have thus a persistent, permanent effect.<\/p>\n<p>Once either the time period of<strong> 365 days<\/strong> expires, <strong>or<\/strong> the maximum fund-raising cap is reached,\u00a0 the remaining unsold tokens would be <strong>burned<\/strong>, i.e. destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>As time goes by, we&#8217;ll be seeing these proportions change:<\/p>\n<div id=\"everviz-tSPWO_HOz\" class=\"everviz-tSPWO_HOz\"><script src=\"https:\/\/app.everviz.com\/inject\/tSPWO_HOz\/\" defer=\"defer\"><\/script><\/div>\n<div class=\"everviz-tSPWO_HOz\">Thus after a year, we&#8217;ve got total market cap worth\u00a0971.4276 million USD. Much like a file system in a computer you&#8217;re using right now. With one huge difference. It is fully <strong>decentralized<\/strong>. It also embeds file-permission mechanics much like your home operating system. User have &#8216;accounts&#8217; still here we call them <strong>State-Domains<\/strong>. There are also special, system-level state domains.
